let there be noise

Do you think creation was a quiet thing? God was sitting there in the void and started thinking it’s so quiet I think I will make me another quiet spot. When God first created the earth all those eons ago do you think the animals came into existence in silence?  The lions when they ran in the jungle were they unable to roar for fear it was sacrilege?  What of the elephant could he not blow his God made trumpet to show his admiration?   When Adam came into existence do you think he just came out staring in wonder but never opening his mouth? Eve was she a speechless as a companion for Adam? When David danced his dance of praise or Joshua’s Army did the victory shout were these calm events?  I think not and yet these are two of the most talked about stories in the bible.    With this in mind i ask, why does it seem churches today are so quiet?  Is there something wrong with noise, or sounds?

In our churches today and for many years we have taught that you have to be one set way to praise God.  We have taught our children this way to worship in spirit and in true.  However sometimes I wonder with it being so quiet can it ever be true.  To be a child means to make noise.  When Jesus said let the children come to me, do you think they came in a straight line with their hands behind their backs?  I believe not.  The children came the way they always came bouncing and jumping singing and laughing.  A child’s world is not quiet.  When God made Adam and Eve in the Garden it had to be a noisy place.  Yet somehow there was peace.  I am not saying that we should talk over each other or always be loud but sometimes we should praise God the way nature praises God with loud sounding sounds.  Peace is not a place, person, or tangible thing.  Peace can only exist in your spirit .  Noise isn’t going to steal your peace.  Quiet isn’t going to restore it either.  Getting to know yourself and your savior in a way that lasts throughout life that is what will bring you real peace.  How can you do that without opening your mouth and making some noise even in church.  Let everything that has breath praise the Lord this is what I am wishing for my son a noisy peaceful relationship with his savior

Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Let the little ones come to me, and do not keep them away: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
